Is it just me or does flying using a side stick just not seem right?
Nothing better than pulling and twisting on a shaft between your legs - but I digress.

    @ Allan:

Personally, I prefer a stick, than a yoke, plus you have one hand free to.......drink coffee or press the seatbelt button on the overhead.

I think pilots are relieved to get a stick after all their years of debt ridden training while yanking, twisting and pushing on heavy yokes, they are giving their hands a rest now!

The only thing that I would find a little odd is me being right handed trying to fly a plane with my left hand (a bit like trying to write with my left hand again). It must take some practice.

Not many pilots have a choice though!

Re: Heres a great Airbus Cockpit Video.....Great Watch!

I've flown Both Sidestick when I was an FO on the A320/321/319 and now that I fly the E-190 I FLY with a Yoke! I have to say that the Airbus is more comfortable to fly but for crosswind landings nothing better than a Yoke... the Bus sucks at crosswind landings! I just don't understand why that guy on teh video over compensates so much when flying manual ? Fly by wire on the bus you basically set the bank and pitch you want and let go fly by wire does the rest!

    Nice video though!
