    Annunciators

I've just received my little plastic annunciator boxes from Open Cockpits and they are excellent. However I would recommend that if you use them, fit a diffuser in them to eliminate the "spotlight" effect when using 2 5mm LED's. You can see in the picture I've used 3mm opal acrylic. Incidentally the one at bottom right is a "real" one.

Note that it is also important to take leds with a large viewing angle. This tells you how much the beam of light spreads out. I use one 5 mm led with 120 degrees viewing angle per annunciator. This helps also to eliminate the spotlight effect.
