Precise VNAV preparation, DESCENT FORCAST page

    hi all,

In an eldery posting from 2008 regarding built 387 it was stated, following items can be filled in in the DESCENT FORCAST page in the CDU.

    TRANS LVL:
    CABIN RATE: (Not Modeled)
    TAI ON/OFF:
    ISA DEV/QNH:
    WIND ALT/ DIR/SPD:

Is it still valid? What are the strings exactly have to look like?
Is it also possible to fill in the ISA DEV in the PERFORMANCE page?

Background: I´m testing the VNAV capabilities of the pm 737 and try to improve my abilities. For complete VNAV approaches, especially in high ASL Airports it would be nice to prepare the approach with these data. It is worthy to gain better insight in this topic and it is a challenge to do precise descent/climb planings and according the situation, start to vary or change to another procedure. ...and it makes fun, too!
Beside this, it´s a hot topic in real aviation with 737..

    cheers
