Re: IFly 737NG with PM using FSX

    Hello Potroh,

below is the version whiched solved all my problems. The Window section 4 from the default panel was not necessary. As you see, only view section and default views were used in my former prefered 737 acft. It was a modified POSKY 737 for FSX.

Regarding the performance of the IFly 737 FSX, if you look at the Boeing performance tables: with 60t ZFW, few tons fuel, 60% N2 you should be able to stabilize a horizontal flight at 5000ft with a pitch up of 3°. I tested it, only a few trim actions and it worked fine. Most simmers forget that the 737NG is a overpowered can of beer.....
I was told in normal operation they reduce start power to minimum CLB1. Full trust take off is absolutely rare.

Once again, thank you very much for your help. I have now few hours work ahead. Sound, lights, and call outs have to be configured.

    regards

    Bernhard (LSZH)

Re: IFly 737NG with PM using FSX

    Sorry friends,

I must admit, calling problems solved was too fast. My proposed setting works only when selecting the Ifly 737 from a Acft with running engines. Even when I copy the section Windows 4 into the panel.cfg, Ifly 737 won“t start. Beside this, I realized some malfunctions regarding the MCP. Next I will do some test with saving different modes of the original Ifly 737 like, cold & dark, before engine start, then do the panel modification and so on.

    Sorry and regards

    Bernhard (LSZH)

    Hi Pierre,

Frankly, after some further experiments, I must say that I'm not interested at all.
The flight model is much worse than the old PMDG FS9 model, which I use for years, with some very slight modifications and it is better than any other I came across.
I'm curious how the new NGX will do in this regards, although we may fear that they also combined the basic systems with gauges, so it might not work easily.

    regards

I use iFly 737 for FSX (at the moment without PM) and i must say that i don't agree with your opinion.
iFly's 737-800 has the best and smooth taxi i ever saw and i didn't realize any problems during the flight.
Were did you find the problems?

    Hi,

You are right, smooth taxi. I also liked that.
The slight problem is that the plane starts moving when you apply 50% (!!!) power and regardless if you throttle back afterwards, it simply doesn't want to stop.
I did a 1.2 km straight taxi where the plane started at about 20 kts and after a km it still moved 9 kts without power.

The N2 table is wrong, whenever you climb it is either in or around the yellow mark and descend is sort of similar to taxi: namely it behaves like a glider.

Re: IFly 737NG with PM using FSX

    good news

I made some fixes in the merge with prosim

    now:

    the throttle works smooth
we can turn on the engines
But now i can not extend the gear up or down. If i copy the line of the gear, the throttle moves yerky
    well, we are getting fordware.

copy the new panel.cfg and try

Re: IFly 737NG with PM using FSX

    Dear friend s
i would like to share with you what i did:

1- i copy the default panel of 737 fs and add some gauges and the result was:
    -bad autothrottle
    -flaps working, gear working
    -very good flight dinamics
-not able to swith on the engines

2- if i keep away the system gauge,s everything is smooth but no gear and no flaps

3- i tried to merge the pmdg 737 that i use in fsx with IFL737.
what i did is to copy the aircraft.cfg and paste in the pmdg one.
the plane fly, but not as good as IFLY.
then i copy and rename the air file but the plane does not reach the level of realism.
i“m completely sure that is possible to merge it, that is just use the flight model.
what i don“t know is if the flight model is also in the AIR file.

Other solution that i“m looking is to replace the gauge file fo other used in pmdg and rename it with the same name that appear in IFLY.
what do you think about that?
