    The world's only 727NG

Im not allowed to post any photos of this project(really sucks because I have some good ones), but you can catch a couple clips of the cockpit in this video.

They wanted a 727 because of the large cockpit for filming in. But they wanted it to look NG. I proposed going NG on the main panels but leaving the engine gauges in place due to the engineers station being clearly in Diaz's shots. So that is how we came up with this one of a kind 727 cockpit configuration. Nearly the whole fuselage was trucked from California to Boston to be used as the interior set. We set it up so Cruise could actually fly the plane. its now back in California and was basically gutted which is too bad after all that work. The movie comes out in about a month, enjoy!

Reminds me of the film with Jodie Foster, its called 'FlightPlan' where they make a 747 style aircraft from scratch to film in, blimmin amazing film and very similar to this.

I only managed to catch about 0.5 seconds of the cockpit!

    Thanks for sharing this......

Were you responsible for building this cockpit?
