    Slide pots ?

I need 3 Slide pots with 60mm minimum travel. I have a local electronics store here in Paphos but im struggling to explain exactly what i want to the greek speaking staff. I took one from the store to try but it doesn't work correctly through my buo836x card and i suspect it isn't analogue and is meant for use as an audio slider.
What exactly do i need to get? does anyone have 3 spare which i would gladly pay for, or maybe an exact link to the product on a british/european website so i can order some.

    Thanks in advance
    Steve

Or can you clever people tell me if these are suitable. They seem awfully cheap to be putting in a throttle.

They have 15,000 movements life-span. This is OK for tone control in a cheap radio but not something to be used in e.g. joystick or pedals...

    Re: Slide pots ?

    Hi Steve.

RS Components has these linear pots (you didn't specify so I'm assuming 10K) with 60mm travel:

    http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/s...duct&R=2499323

The Alps range includes linears up to 100mm. All have a duty cycle life of 30K cycles. Whether that's going to be enough or not is up to you to decide, I guess. They do carry K-type sliders rated to 100K cycles - the 100mm one is here:

They're all Alps, standard stuff, so your local supplier ought to be able to order them I'd guess. A quick check of RS Cyprus site (they have a local authorised distributor, it seems) shows that they carry the same range of linear pots as the main UK site.

    Hope that's of some help...
