    About Triple Head 2 Go

I have an odd question for everyone out there.... then again, it may not be odd.

Can you... or has anyone tried hooking up 2 TH2G boxes so you can run 6 monitors... or what would be a good work around to this.

I am building the 737-8 and I know that there are a total of 6 windows.... but I wonder what others have done to achieve total immersion.

Another TH2G question... can you plug three projectors into it instead of monitors?

You can run 2 TH2Go but you need two video card outputs that are separate from each other. Best bet is two video cards. Understand that it will not allow you to have 6 different views, one to each monitor. The purpose behind the TH2Go is to span 3 monitors with 1 view giving it more width. You can drag all the views, left, forward left, forward, forward right, and right but horizons don't line up.
As to using projectors, of course you can. A projector is just another type of monitor.
This is a view of the left and forward views combined on my system

See the problem with the horizon?
    Also alignment problems:

This is 3 projectors showing the forward view stretched at 3084X768:

My setup has 2 video cards,8800GT and 8800GTS both using PCIe slots on the motherboard.
View of sim with all monitors and projectors running:

Hope this helps answer your questions,
    Regards,
    Brian

    Yes it does, Thank You.

Is there any tips that can be provided for creating 6 views for each of the windows.... to get a full unobstructed view no matter where you look...

The only thoughts I had was:

If the forward view can be manipulated to cover both forward windows, and the left and rights cover the two 45 degree side windows, then that leaves the two rear windows... hmmm

You can using multiple computers and WideView or perhaps FSExpand.(not sure if that's for cockpit views) Or using one computer and 3 or 4 video cards in both PCI and PCIe slots. However you will suffer in frame rates and need to run in windowed mode. As soon as you go to full screen you will lose some of your monitors, For some reason FS9 and FSX only "sees" 4 video outputs in full screen. If somebody else has figured out a solution to this PLEASE speak up! If you noticed, my pilot and copilot monitors show the same view. They are being driven by a single video output on a splitter.

    Hi Shearder,
I looked into Ellie Systems and Cockpitware, The only two that can fit in my budget
Would it be possible to run either one over a network through different PCs? That I can reduce the workload on the main computer...

Brian, have you ever considered using expanded polystyrene (EPS) sheets as projection screens? A 4 ft. by 8 ft. sheet of 1/2" thick EPS sells for about $10 dollars at a home improvement store. It could be an easy solution for you, and it would never have wrinkles.

Thanks for the info about the different material. I've since gone to rear screen projection and use a much smaller screen that is less prone to wrinkles. See the thread about NC simroom for all the pics.
