Just had a look at the documentation of the CPFlight MIP board and Speed Ref and N1 are supported.

Stef> Would you be able to supply us with the concentric encoder + knobs? This way I could forget ICS and wire up my own MIP using the CPFlight MIP board.

    Still, ICS would be nice...

Thats correct. Basically the MIP737 board offers the same functionality, except for the lower subpanel functionality which it doesnt have. Apart from that its the same, uses the same protocol as ICS, etc.

You only need to wire it yourself.

The dual conctric switch/encoder combination we use is incorporated in the knob/pcb and cant be used seperately. But there are others filling that gap.

Or you could try making one yourself using the 'how to' in the mip737 manual.

    Still, ICS would be nice...
    i know...sorry....

Thanks for the info Stef. I totally understand your decision to only supply the ICS with pre-built systems.

As it stands, I'll probably not bother with the lower panel anyway, so myabe I'll just go for the MIP board solution. I've sent you an email for an ICS quote anyway, as I'd like to see how much it would cost in comparison. At the moment I'm looking for a quick build as I'm hoping to get flying as soon as I can (rather than it turn in to a big building project), hence the ICS. I do enough soldering and messing around with switches for a living!
