    Never Drink and Fly

I just last week bought a new wireless keyboard and mouse to help; with flexibilty during the times I was using my computer as a flight deck. Then last night I was having a beer and doing a few circuits when I accidentally knocked over the beer right over the new keyboard! Now when I typ;e a ;p I get a semi colon attached and when I ty;pe a semicolon I get a p; attached!!! Luckily it was not an exp;ensive keyboard but does it have a chance of correcting itself? So guys if you drink and fly - then be careful!!
I am reall ;pi**** off with p;laying with a p;oor keyboard so please can p;eople point to a possible solution. Hey it may have corrected itself in the last sentence - lets see
    PS - no semicolon there!

open it up and put in by the heater for a bit then put it back together.

Just give it a go - it may work. The compononts will then dry out, because i guess the reason why your getting a semi colon is the contact will have beer causing a connection with other keyboard buttons.

You'll be able to irradicate a beer scented keyboard though. LOL

unplug it or take the batteries out then open it up and rinse it in cold water to remove any sticky beer residue the put it in an airing cupboard for about a week to completly dry out before trying it.

its the sticky residue that will kill keyboards and other electronics not the liquid itself

    Re: Never Drink and Fly

Heres A crazy one, About 2 years or so ago I spilt tea over our laptop. So i left it to dry out for about 4 months or so & tried pwr on but it was dead. Rather than just chuck it i t went up on the top shelf to maybe salvage some stuff out at a later date. Now couple of weeks ago came across it stuffed right at the back of the shelf , Had forgoten about it to be honest, Just thought would give it another try.. You little Ripper The bloody thing works!!!!! But now my daughters bending my ear for it sayin she needs it for school . so maybe if ya put it away for 2 years , ya might be in luck LOL...........
