    new plug and play 747 MCP and EFIS

    Our friends at CPflight just announced their new 747 MCP and efis. (with a little help from us for the faceplate)

    Full scale replica of Boeing 747 MODE CONTROL PANEL.
    • Custom FLYengravity backlit frontplate.
      Backlight color: Warm white.
      Displays: Altitude, Vertical Speed, Heading, Speed.
      Display characteristics: LED 7 segment. Digit height: 0,3" (7,6 mm).
      Display color: white.
      3 encoders with push: Altitude, Heading, Speed, Vertical Speed.
      1 encoders for Vertical Speed.
      Encoders characteristics: Half million cycle rated, 24 increment for rotation (with detent).
      Knobs: aluminium dust-coated.
      Toggle switch for Auto Throttle ARM switch.
      Toggle switches for Left and Right Flight Director.
      Disengage bar.
      THR, SPEED, FLCH, VNAV, LNAV, HDG, VS, HOLD, LOC, APP, CMDL, CMDC, CMDR lighting buttons
      C/O round buttons.
      External or internal display brightness regulation.
      External or internal backlight brightness regulation.
      Central unit for daisy-chained connection of Efis selector (Captain and F/O), Mip and radios
      16 bit Flash microcontroller.
      DIN 5 pole socket for plug&play CPflight modules interface.
      USB Interface (USB cable provided).
      Compatible with all FS default aircraft, Project Magenta, PMDG, LVLD767, FlighDeckSoftware and Sim-Avionics.
      EICAS Selector: ENG, STAT, ELEC, FUEL, ECS, HYD, DRS, GEAR, CANC and RCL

      Knobs: aluminium dust-coated with symbols.
      2 lever switches with three positions for VOR/ADF selection.
      4 position rotary switch with push in for display mode selection.
      8 position rotary switch with push in for ND range and TFC selection.
      2 round pushbuttons for FPV and METER selection.
      5 pole connection cable and fixing clamp provided.
      Compatible with all FS default aircraft, Project Magenta, PMDG, LVLD767, FlighDeckSoftware and Sim-Avionics.

    Im glad somthing like this has finally come out.
    I know FDS do one and stuff but Im glad to finally see more things for the 747 starting to come out.

    Probably because the electronics of the 737 has been used to cut costs. Panel wise this can be solved easily. The 747 efis is somewhat higher and has some space below the pushbuttons.

    If you look closely you will also notice the pushbuttons are in a 737 format with engraved backlit texts, whereas the 747 has blank pushbuttons.

    A small compromise to reduce costs.
