Cyprus Airways will be entering a new era on 25 January with the introduction of its latest generation A330-200 widebody aircraft on its popular London Heathrow-Larnaca route. The A330-200 offers the most spacious cabin of any widebody jet in its category, creating a more enjoyable seating arrangement for passengers, while state-of-the art systems help to provide a comfortable atmosphere that reflects the commitment to passenger comfort found in all Airbus aircraft.

Cyprus Airways has chosen a spacious layout, seating 30 passengers in Business and 265 in Economy. Each class is furnished to provide outstanding passenger comfort with individual in flight-entertainment devices throughout the cabin. In addition, the A330-200's capacious cargo holds are ideally suited to the expansion and growth of the lucrative Cyprus-UK freight market.

Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, Cyprus Airways' A330-200, which will be joined by a second aircraft in Spring 2003, also has the potential to profitably serve more distant destinations thanks to the long range of the aircraft and its impressive versatility. Both aircraft are being leased from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC).

The Airbus A330/A340 Family is the most successful in its category, with some 740 orders from more than 60 customers, and a route network that criss-crosses the globe with short, medium and long-haul routes.

Cyprus Airways, an all-Airbus operator for over ten years and an A320 launch customer, operates ten Airbus single-aisle aircraft including two A319s and eight A320s on its network in Europe and the Middle East. It will benefit from the unique Airbus commonality philosophy, in which all members of the Airbus fly-by-wire family share near-identical flight decks, systems and handling characteristics, allowing pilots to fly any model with only minor additional training.
