    Displays card.

    Hi everyone.
Because im stupid I have soldered the 40 pin connector with the opening in the middle facing outwards when it should be facing inwards as shown on the video.
Does this matter or does it have to face inwards, I dont see why because the pins ae identical on both sides.

Just posted a reply, but then deleted it because I was not entirely certain about the solution. Do not just connect it up anyway - it will not work! The notches and red edge identifier are there to ensure that the cable and sockets keep the same relationship and although there are two rows of pins they have specific signals to each pin which must be matched between the display card and the master card.

I think that your best answer is to file away the protuding notch on the cable header plug so that you can insert the cable with the orientation as originally designed. I believe this is the correct and easiest answer but take no responsibility Others may care to comment.

Also do something to remind yourself when connecting/disconnecting the cable in the future!!

    Regards

    David
