Glare Wings
Hi All,
Question regarding the glare wings that sit next to the MCP, EFIS etc..
Im designing these parts at the moment and I can't really tell from pics whether the surface of them is hard like wood or if there is a thin leather layer on it? Anyone able to help please? Many Thanks,
Lewis Simmons

Hey Lewis,
Glare wings on the real aircraft are actually made of high density foam and then have a vinyl type product vacumn formed onto them. The glare wings actual purpose is a crash pad to save the pilots head from injury in case of an accident but they look pretty darn good too.
