Im not sure if the images i have on my website come from an F16 more then likely an F111. But if you would like me to get any of those for you or if you have an idea of what you are looking for I will go back to that yard and look around for you. Pics of what you want would be great then i could compare them.

Here is the link. I am sure that i could get some of the parts off of the fighter thats there.

The fighter that is there is an F-18. I doubt there is much in that cockpit... Some one here in the States needs to buy that cockpit! Can't imagine there are too many of those in civilian hands! It would be great to have it! Wish I lived closer!

    Hey Blackwidow,

That MFD you have looks like an F-16 but I think might be more like an Apache or even the F-18 is there a chance you could get some pictures of those MFD panels?? Maybe there is something like an F-16 there?? Would really apreciate that!!

    Thanks.

Yes, I have flown the Viper, and it was good!!! I got my ride on 6 Dec 02. We taxied 8155 out to runway 3R at Luke AFB (KLUF), did our run up, released the brakes and we were off. At 157 kts, we rotated, sucked the gear up, and started a shallow climb, accelerating to 350, then pulled it up to a 60 degree climb. In about 4 heartbeats, we were at our filed cruise altitude of 17k. Then my pilot, Capt Matt Higer, said some words to me that i will never forget, "If you can keep us within 150 feet of our altitude and maintain this spacing in formation, Ill let you do most of the flying"...and so I did. It truly handles like a dream, even in cruise flight! We then went up, toured the Grand Canyon (there is no better way to see the Grand Canyon, than from the seat of an F-16, 15k, 400 kts). We then went to the X-ray section of the Bagdad-Gladden MOA and did some mock dogfighting, some ground attack runs and just plain goofed around with a $30 million fighter jet. it was very satisfying to fly a jet that I had worked on for years.

We did have business to conduct however...We rejoined the rest of our 4-ship formation and did a fly-by of a Pearl Harbor Rememberace Ceremony.

Avionics-wise, the jets I worked with (block 42) were quite complex. The actual flying of the plane is very easy. Employing the jet (i.e. killing people and breaking their stuff) is another story. With time and repetition, I imagine it becomes mostly second nature, but the learning never stops. We were constantly updating software and components, adding new capability and options for the aircrews, which only added to the need for them to be "on their toes". The f-16 was a joy to work on and I do miss the folks I worked with.

Dude! That is like my dream!! Ohh god... I also fly 40 Million dollar planes for a Living but we cannot make 60 degrees Climbs nor flying that near to the ground might not be good for our passengers or teh company of the pair of F-16`s they`ll throw us in to say hello when we do that in U.S. Territory LOL!!
Man so you even flew formation??? I wish I had the chance just once to fly one of those babies it must have been amazing!!! Excellents story thanks for sharing!!

    Regards,

    Roberto
