FlightDeckSoftware GFD pics on my 737NG Sim

    Hi,

It's been a while since my last post, but here is where I stand with my sim. It is going slow but going. The software is an awesome alternative for your 737 setup (I have no complaints so far). The best part, it did not cost an arm and a leg to get. The software runs great and is easy to setup. The standby gauges and other functions are not implemented yet, but I am sure they are around the corner (I don't mind the wait, is worth it). The support has been awesome as well. Sorry for the quality of the pics. I will keep in touch, later....

Keep 'em Flying and Enjoy the Ride

    Respectfully,

    Pedro.

    Thanks Pedro,

Your sim looks awesome. Glad you've had good results with the FDS panels, there's been a bit of discussion about various alternatives to PM lately so this first hand experience is welcome. Just a question, I notice in your first pic that the PFD is missing the background (blue/brown). I was testing this suite out on the weekend and noticed the same thing. Is this a fault or is it part of the design?

    Hi Ken,

Thank you for the comments. To answer your question the first pic is completely normal. You have to setup the aircraft position in the FMC (Set IRS Pos) to get the blue and brown background on the PFD. If you notice in one of the pics I placed the FMC next to the EICAS screen to setup the position of the aircraft and get both PFDs functional (no ATT message). Here are some more pics. Take care!!!

    EICAS screen modes

Does the software have an EICAS screen mode showing the function of the flight controls (e.g. showing the movement of the yoke and rudder pedals)?

    Cheers Chris

    Hi Chris,

As far as I know there is not a screen for the trim yet. I know the guys at FlightDeckSoftware are working hard on their software and who knows what the future will bring. You can refer to this link and see some pics of all the available EICAS screens. Hope this helps, take care.
