Autothrottle not cutting off upon landing

    Hi all,

When I use the AT with the AP for ILS/capture feature, and then turn off the AP around 1,500 feet and hand fly to land, there is no prob with auto power cut at about 20 or so feet. Same with autoland.

However, if I fly a manual app with only AT, it will not cut off at 20 feet lets say. Just stays on. I have to switch off the AT to cut the engines.

I am flying a 737 add on plane in 2004fs. Any ideas as to what might be wrong or what I am missing to do.

    Thanks
    Randy

PMDG does this, I think it is normal to have to switch off the A/T manually. I usually switch it off at 400' and don't touch the levers until 20'

Usual procedure in the 737NG is to leave the A/T armed all the way through the aproach and landing. This is important because if a go-around is needed the pilot can press the TOGA switch and get an instant response.

To go to manual throttle for landing the usual procedure is to switch off SPEED mode on the MCP. This gives the pilot full manual throttle control but leaves the A/T armed.
