    Windows Explorer Folders

This has always bugged me so I hope someone can point me to a fix.

Is there a way to get Win Vista64 Explorer to open on D: drive vs C: drive?

I have all my FS files on D: drive and do most of my work there. Every time I right click to open Explorer, it always defaults to C:\Start Menu.

So to de-clutter the screen I have to click the minus to close all the C:\ folders.

So, is there a way to close the C: folders, open the D: folders and make D: the default when I open Explorer.

    Thanks.

    Tim,

If you open explorer, navigate to your D: drive and drag it (hold Left Mouse button) to the desktop you'll have a shortcut to your D: drive available. You can do this with any folder you want direct access to. I have my flight shortcut folders contained within another folder called Flightsim. Here I can open applications and/or folders relating to flightsim. It gives easy access to things like "fs.cfg", saved flights folder, FS itself etc. without having to navigate the long stream of folders they are buried in.

I assume this is related to the item you right click on. Try holding down the windows key on your keyboard, then press and release E. This will open an explorer window set at 'My Computer'

Create a shortcut for explorer on your desktop (Copy one already there) and in the "Properties" dialog (right click, then "properties") it should already have "%systemroot%\explorer.exe" (see attached pic)

add "/e," and then the target folder. So to auto navigate to the D drive it should say

    %systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,D:\
