Screen Rotation / Mouse orientation
Evening all,
I've rotated my PM instrument display 90 degrees to fit the monitor / MIP area. Works fine but the mouse obviously works in the normal sense but up/down/left/right on the mouse mat does not now correspond to where the cursor goes on the rotated screen.
Yes, I know its not rocket science to work it out mentally and move it in the correct fashion (quite fun actually - have a go) but I tend to think someone will know a way to solve this in Windows or some little download from somewhere.
Haven't looked at this yet, just being lazy to see if the answer arrives prior my investigations.
Happy flying to you all,
Regards,
ID.

Rotation
Thanks Trevor, useful information.
At present the PC I am using (P4 2.8GHz) only has on-board graphics. Its fast enough with good quality graphics but will only rotate the image 180 degrees with the installed windows graphic driver, not the 90 degrees required.
Thus I have used PM's inherent rotation to solve the problem. Hence this leads to the mouse orientation problem.
I could buy another video card but just looking to avoid this.

iRotate
Hi Brad,
Thanks for the reply.
Does iRotate also alter the mouse axis correctly?

Yes, it makes everything work like it should. All iRotate does is set the rotation orientation in drivers without having to find it in the nvidia control panel.
I used it when I had my 17" 1280x1024 LCDs as side screens rotated 90 degrees with my 24" 1920x1200 lcd. I reverted back because my makeshift mounts for the 17" lcds were badly designed. But that's another unrelated matter altogether.
