And that seems to be a sticking point if it's true; that it must be used with their system.
It would be great to have something like this as a stand-alone display that instruments could be dragged to such as WX radar, or any number of instrument displays.
I saw something about this on the IVAO board and the link is the same posted above, but it doesn't seem to be making much news in the builders circles.

Second Monitor
As this is just an LCD screen, it might make more economic sence to just purchase a second LCD monitor, and display all your gauges on that. A neat perriferal would be a GPS unit with all buttons, etc.

Just tried out the Panel. Nice little gimmick, but unfortunately only for FSX.
SDK for the panel is available, but i am totaly unfamiliar with programming.
Anybody skilled in that would have a look wheter it is possible to bring it to FS9, too?
