    Hello from the UK #2

    Hi guys!

Just thought i would introduce myself to you....

My name is Mark im 37 and i live in a town called Witham which is in Essex,England.
Ive been an active member of VATSIM for about 18 months now flying the PMDG 747 and i wish to build my own cockpit although looking around the options for a 747 seem limited so im currently learning the PMDG 737NG as it seems more likely i will build a cockpit around this plane.
Cant say how i ended up on your site as ive been surfing all day looking at home cockpits and i opened up at least 30 tabs
Anyway what a find !... the answer to my prayers etc etc.
Im at the very beginning of building my own cockpit im not very good with my hands but dont mind having a go and so i look forward to sharing your knowledge and skills as i attempt something that the little voice in my head says is impossible.

    Regards,

    Mark

Hello Mark! Welcome to MC.org- you will find TONS of info here that will be very helpful to both new builders and old alike.

The 737NG is very popular in the sim building community for a reason- Cant see too many hard areas for a sim like that. I too was building one before becoming more interested in the Learjet 45.

I wish you all the best and be sure to ask questions as you read everything here- you will have lots of them I'd reckon!

    Mycockpit.org Hi Mark

Nice to have another uk sim-nut on board!

interested to hear your'e into VATSIM. I've been online during worldflight in a friends cockpit but am still plucking up courage to have a go in my own, so any adivce would be appreciated. Also if you want any info on pmdg737 or to pop up to have a look at my progress so far you're more than welcome- just drop me a PM.

    Mark,

First of all welcome to MyCockpit.org. You have made it to the library of home cockpit building information. Good luck with your project and hope to see some pics soon.

My first advice is to really sit down and figure out exactly what you want from your sim. I have seen people start projects and get half way through and decide to build something completely different. Take a look at all the manufactures and available parts...etc... Again good luck and welcome and if you need any assistance do not hesitate to PM me.. Have a great week and God Bless!!

PS look for me on VATSIM if your ever flying in the Texas area.. Lear N345MC

G'day Mark and welcome to MC.org,

Whitham must be somewhere near Braintree where my wife comes from.

I use PMDG737 and a single PC for my cockpit set up, I believe it's the simplist and most reliable way to make a 737 work.

    See my website for info...

    Cheers, Gwyn
