Unusual Bank
Gents,
in my fixed based cokpit simulator I am using the PMDG 737-800 flight model, without panel, of course. The aircraft data performance file comes from the PM.
When cruising, the plane shows a strange behaviour, always banking some degrees to the left, either with LNAV or in the heading mode. Also absolutely independent from light or strong crosswinds. With absolutely equal fuel in both wing tanks.
Has anyone made similar observations and maybe a solution for me?
Thanks in advance

Adjust your rudder trim a little in the opposite direction, and you will be golden. I had the same problem, I had inadvertently adjusted the rudder trim and then saved the flight, so every time I reload that flight, my rudder trim is in the wrong position.
Autopilot doesn't know the aircraft is banking due to the yaw of the rudder trim.
Bet that solved it for you.. If you adjust it and it gets worse... Adjust it in the other direction

Are you using pm sys? Have you flicked on the yaw damper switch on your overhead?..is there a master caution "flight controls" warning light illuminated ?

Mmm, I'm thinking something different. If it's unwanted bank your getting (whilst your track is still straight ahead), it could be a problem with older versions of FSUIPC, and in particular a conflict that can occur between the FSUIPC.cfg file (that stores your FSUIPC settings and comands) and some payware add-ons.
If the gents advice above does not work - try;
- Checking to make sure you have hte latest version of FSUIPC.
- Try temporarily removing your fsuipc.cfg file out of the MODULES folder into a temp location. Now run the sim without the cfg file (it generates a fresh) and see if the unwanted bank is still there.
Are you using a feelThere / Wilco 737PIC airfile ? As the Wilco 737 PIC is infamous for having conflicts with heavily customized FSUIPC config files.

Trev,
your hint was the winner!
Started the Sim without touching anything, then hit the "Numpad 5" (reset aileron bank) and saved the flight as "Standard Flight".
That made it finally!
Thanks !!!René
