    Another intrested newbie

Hello first of all what a fantastic forum you have here and look forward to being part of it. Basically been reading these forums for a couple of days now and deciding weather to get into the world of cockpit building. Have seen alot of good creations which has excited me to maybe build one of my own. I have been flight simming for over 10 years. Have spent a fair amount of money on this alone. Love flying the PMDG 737. Spent over a year reading books on this beast which has now brought me here. Yeah I'm a desktop flyer at the moment with Ch yoke and pedals combined with headtraker Ir. But that's not enough. After seeing pictures of some of the members simulators i have to become apart of this action. I look forward to talking to you all and getting plenty of help. Oh and just currouis if there is anyone living in brisbane Aus. I know this is a little forward in the question but would be handy to have a fellow cockpit builder near by.

    Cheers

Will i take the leap and enter the cockpit building world?

    Welcome to the forum Cbird.

Only you and your wife can decide if you will build a simulator. If you are single, or a confirmed bachelor, the sky is literally the limit.

Now, what do you know how to fly, and what do you want to build?

Welcome Cbird. Great to have you here. We have an abundance of Auzzies here, and I am sure some of them are close to Brisbane. If nothing else, maybe a short trek across the jungles and your all set.

If there is anything you need help with, please feel free to ask everyone for help.

I look forward to seeing your project as you progress.

    Best regards,

    Trev

Welcome Cbird, good to see another aussie. We're like rabbits our numbers keep increasing. I'm down in Sydney but we have a few people up nearer to you in Brisbane. I'm another 737 builder and yes it makes sense to go for something that you can get parts for a bit more easier than others.
    cheers

If you haven't checked out the Featured Builder section do!!! I think you will see a wide variety of builders specialty and a big motivator.

    http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=117

This is an area that we hope to get back working on. There are so many new cockpit's out there it's going to be hard to go start selecting the next interview.
