    The future for flight simulation?

A couple of years ago, I believe someone was working on integrating MS Flight Simulator with Google Earth. But I haven't heard or read any more progress on that until this announcement: "New Google Earth Adds Flight Simulator ".

So, there is hope after all that we might be able to use that in our flight decks, hopefully in my remaining lifetime

The guys from Vista Australis are already doing it... feeding google earth into FS9 and FSX as scenery tiles ... and it works! Still a bit clunky coz its early days, but very encouraging results thus far. See the forum at http://vistaoz.org/smf/index.php
