    I was an electro-mechanical technician in the US Air Force working on the LGM-30F Minuteman II.

    That didn't teach me much about airplanes, but it helped with the avionics and flight control systems and integrating Boeing equipment into my cockpit.

    I didn't get much past my AEE from the Community College of the Air Force.

    What I should have done was pursued mechanical engineering as a career.

    I love to do this stuff, but never could quite go 'by the book' get the 'paper' that says I know how to do it.
