Rotary encoders
I sent away, and just received 30 Alps rotary encoders. I purchased these from www.avnetexpress.avnet.com These encoders are either pcb or bushing mount and have a hollow plastic 'D' shaft. I am planning to use these to make dual rotary encoders by stacking them. The real beauty of this whole thing is the price. These encoders cost me just .3036 cents each. I have tested them with FSBUS and they work just fine. The part number is EC12E2420802. They have 920 left and after they are gone, there will be a 13 week waiting period for more..so if you need them and they will work for you. GET THEM!!!

Re: Rotary encoders
If you buy 100 of them for $30.00 and the $59.00 shipping charge, they still only cost you about 90 cents each. I have been unable to find any of these for less than $1.47. Get some of the other simmers in the UK to share the cost. I have finished the first dual rotary encoder, looks good, but I forgot how to upload a picture. Tried to upload to the photo gallery and it gave me a page error.
