another new 'kid' on the block

    Hi,

    Just wanted to say Hello!

I'm a flightsimmer for quite a number of years, and 'addicted' to the PIC767/Level-D 767-300 ....

I did not like to use mouse and/or keyboard, so I started to develop some panels to build a 'desk top' home cockpit. First based on Knitter switches and key strokes. But when the Level-D was launched together with it's great SDK, I developed a (free for all) software tool (FSCONV) to make the SDK available via new offsets in FSUIPC.

Since then I started a process to gradually move over to Opencockpits IOcards interface cards programmed via SIOC.

More information can be found at my website http://www.nicokaan.nl

    Best Regards,

Hi Nico! Nice to have you here... This sickness realy is spreading! I will spend some time at your site and look at your software, looks VERY interasting. Also you might want to check, there is another user here who uses only PMDG for his cockpit. You might want to talk to him and maybe you too can do something like it! His sim is looking GREAT! Any way I look forward to following your progress....

    Hi Bob,
Thank you, but I have no plans to change aircraft. The Level-D 767 gives me all I want ... It's SDK is a dream for cockpit builders.
    Regards,
    Nico

Hi Nico.. Didn't mean for you to change aircraft... Meant with a little thinking it was possible to use the LevelD-767 as your AC and interface... In other words no PM or any other softwre just the LevelD.. I know someone else who is going to do the exact same thing! In fact I think he will probably post here on that soon!

Sorry, but I still don't understand what you mean. I'm not using PM (if you meant Project Magenta).
But i'll await the post of that guy.
    Thank you.

    Nico

    Talking

What I mean is with a little work you don't need to use anything but LevelD. In the past this was not an option. But then along came PMDG and LevelD and now the software part of building has become a little bit better. At least there are more choices. The one I spoke about using the PMDG was just for you to look at to see what could be done! And ROberto plans on using LevelD to do hie cockpit with so you guys can share notes!

    Smile Fsconv

Hi Nico ... Just caught up with this .... A big welcome on board.
A big thank you for FSCONV, a brilliant program and thanks for making it freeware.
Not using it myself but a mate is going to use it in his cockpit and we went thru it together. FSCONV makes cockpit building using level-d a real option.

Dont worry about Bob's comment, he is normally a bit disoreintated before 10am but by lunchtime he will realise who you are.

Great to see you here Nico.
