Where to start
Hello all,
I have been out of the loop for a while. I am back to school chasing an engineering degree and I want to get back in the sim for some stress relief. I have been working on my A-6 Intruder project for a few years now. I have had enough of joystick hacking and finding all the right drivers after the random HD crash. I would like to make things easier and throw some money at it. I know of the EPIC cards but not much else. I am looking for a system that is user freindly and expandable, flashing lights...the works. Also, if it is possible, the system should be compatable with other sytems. I know this gets asked alot, just a good shove in the right direction is needed.
Many thanx,
Christopher Raison

FSBus and Epic are both quite old. First off, what plane do you want to build?
Decide that then look in the Builders Links section here to see some of the vendors that you can get parts from.
After all that, feel free to ask some questions.God's in command, I'm just the Pilot.

My build is an A-6 Intruder. It is fully functional with hacked joysticks at the moment. I have to engineer my own parts, not many Intruder parts available. If someone could point out the latest and greatest I/O boards, I would appreciate it. Here is a pic of what it is as of now.

That's pretty cool. Talk about an unsupported aircraft. I thought I had it bad!

If I were you, I'd look into Leo Bodnar's boards.

AndyT,
That board is high on my most wanted list. It will make most of my rig work alot better. What I am looking for now is an I/O board that will take perameters from FSUIPC and illuminate some LED's. After I get my stick all squared away, I want to start on my annunciator panel.
