    Hi,

@Stefan: the IDLE N1 is higher at high altitude. Does the EWD show IDLE between the two N1 gauges?

@Omniatlas: no, the MCDU and FCU are not interconnected.

    Hi Stefangr

Yes in real life happens that: Idle is higher at higher altitude , the idle value is not relevant, the word IDLE in the EWD confirms that engine is at idle.

Also engine / wing anti-ice use increases your IDLE value due to air bleed. When an engine anti-ice valve is open, the N1 limit is automatically reduced and, if necessary, the idle N1 is automatically increased for both engines in order to provide the required pressure for anti-icing

Since the aircraft will maintain speed by using elevators only, try increasing your selected speed and you will go down faster and you can see how the idle value reduces faster.

    Best regards

    Adonis

    Hi JL & Adonis,

thanks for your explanations. I am not sure if "IDLE" was shown on EWD - I don't think so. But I will double check and let you know.

    Thanks
    Stefan

    Re: A320 FMGS B31

Have just made another test flight. There really seems to be a problem, IDLE is not displayed until FL240/FL230. I have raised a bug report with some more information.

A question about the FMA displays "SRS" and "RWY" which light up during T/O roll: I assume the functions behind these modes are not modelled (yet), are they? I think "RWY" in real life should "hold" the A/C on the center line as long as ILS freq is tuned in. I always need to correct with rudder/tiller to keep the A/C on the runway

    Thanks
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan

Yes you are right the rwy mode will hold the airplane in the runway IF the autopilot is ON, however all takeoffs are handmade, so as you are experiencing to make correction happens the same in real life. Also consider wind gusts from crosswind and an engine fail, so Airbus is very automated but not too far to that point. Remember Autopilot logic lets you enable autopilot 5sec after liftoff.

try a pull heading after liftoff, if you dont see RWY TRACK on FMA then there is a problem .

Adonis -- you seem very informed with Airbus proceedures -- are you a real world airbus pilot?

    Hi,

    Try again to uninstall then reinstall the software (using B31.4). The aplly the updates again;
Also, some people have had issues with antivirus recently (particularly with Avast, don't know for other brands). SO make sure your AV is not putting any executable in quarantaine...

Does it happen even on a fresh software start?
As for the trim wheels, I do not know what you mean exactly. If you have an hardware throttle quadrant with motorized trim wheels, then I do not drive them. I only change the FS trim setting. What you see on the SD is what should be used by your hardware manufacturer.

    Hi
After most updates ECAM CP doesn't work at all or just its LEDs don't light up, but after two or three days-flights-restarts, it works perfectly. So before I post a problem, I'll wait 2-3 days...
As for trim wheels: I do have motorized trims from FSCockpit and I was very happy seeing them turning up and down at the degree trim value in F/CTRL page of SD. I say "was", because after last updates they don't turn at all. It's not a hardware problem, because they work when I use the configutator tool, that FSCockpit provided.

    Re: A320 FMGS B31

    Hi Leonidas,

When I say "hardware problem" I mean the driver of FScockpit is not my concern either. I did not change anything in regard to the trim in my latest versions. So either it is FSCockpit hardware or it is FScockpit driver which is at fault, for me it's the same. If they messed up, they need to repair, not me...

I'll be waiting for your feedback on the ECAM panel (here I made the driver myself, so I'm "responsible").

    Best regards,
    JL
