Henk my rotary has only one detent in each side.
And it is springloaded to center.

I can`t find with 2 positions in each side.

Idea....
What about if modified rotary switch.
Making arm with springs to centering and there can be 2 position each side.
middle is off.If this works, its not so difficult to make also and cost just couple €

Btw, your overhead panels looks great, mine is still pure white color.
