Adapting interconnect linkages for MD-80
As some may know, I'm in the process of removing the interconnect linkage (crossover bar for Boeing) to replace with a new one. There are four 4-inch bolts that go through, and a single screw, and I've removed those, but am still unable to get the interconnect fragment retained to be removed. I was advise by a friend of mine who has done similar replacements that it is possible to change the linkages.
Does anyone happen to know where I can find out how to go about removing this part? After the pilot, then I need to do the same to the first officer's yoke....but I'm going one step at a time, and this is something that isn't in any of the manuals I have here.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Re: Adapting interconnect linkages for MD-80
You could try a post in the technical section of PPrune. There may be some aircraft type engineers that could advise you.

Ahhh...after a google search I learned about PPRune. I'll have to give them a look. Thank you for the response. Once I know, I'll post it on here.
