Poldragonet Overhead
http://www.symul.tatuin.com.pl/stron...mart&Itemid=56
This Overhead seems such a great price and has been mentioned in other threads but i cannot find them, You get the full panel all the leds, switches, buttons,knobs.... the full kit, even a mounting case.
Im seriously giving this some consideration at 500 euro.
Does anyone have one of these, specifically the item in kit form and was it easy enough to wire up and interface. Also what electronic boards did you use and for which bit?
Thanks Steve

Re: Poldragonet Overhead
Hi Steve,
This sure does sound like a steal to me, 500 euros including components is a true bargain! I know a few people that own poldragonet gear and it seems very viable!
Dont forget the opencockpits sells their overhead kit and components for just over 700 euros, again this is cheap too!
But 500 euros for an overhead with switches is very good price, it will be interesting to see what people come forward and give reviews on this, I hope that this product is as good as it seems!
Just a shame that a Cessna doesn't have an overhead lol!GA or the Highway!

Re: Poldragonet Overhead
Hi Steve: I own a Poldragonet overhead. I recieved it in one large package, and when I opened it I was indeed pleasently surprised. It was already mounted on the mounting board, it looks great, and rivals any of the more expensive overheads. I elected to purchase the overhead by itself, as I use superbright leds, and purchased the hardware just the other day, so I don't have it wired up yet. I have a FDS sys3 interface board ready to go, and should be starting to wire it up in the next few weeks. I am on a fixed income, so I really pick carefully the items I need. All in all , for the price it's a GREAT buy. I have an ex airline pilot helping me build my sim, and he was VERY impressed with the overhead. By the way it also comes with dummy gauges. Hope this helps you a little. Dave

Re: Poldragonet Overhead
Hi Dave,
I am planning on getting the poldragonet overhead as well. If you don't mind ,could you tell me how much was the S&H?. I live in MD and I know it is going to differ from CA, I just want to have an idea beforehand so I can plan the expenses. Thank you.Regards,
Pedro

Re: Poldragonet Overhead
Hi Pedro: The shipping was 100 euros, not bad considering the distance, and it arrived in just over a week. Dave

Dave, as you are using super bright leds...have you seen the warm colored ones you can get now?...same glow as a globe.

Re: Poldragonet Overhead
Dave: No I haven't. I'll check them out. I use the superbrights as they make everything stand out a little better. I am starting today toinstall the overhead on the frame, ALL soldering and wiring has finally been completed. I hope O never see another soldering gun for awhile.. Did some simple tests yesterday and everything seems to be working ok. Assigning the lights switches though is something else. Dave
