Hello from Somerset, UK.
Hi All,
(Apologies if I have double posted, my first post didn't seem to make it).
I'm Peter, I have just registered with MyCockpit.org, I live in the county of Somerset in the UK. I like all sorts of flight sims from PMDG's airliners to Cessnas and from X-Plane to Black Shark. I occasionally fly for real (gliding & PPL). My cockpit is a very modest collection of home made parts. I started with a real helicopter seat and have added a generic centre console and an instrument panel. The instrument panel is connected to a second computer running Project Magenta's GA IFR software. The console and the panel use buttons, switches, encoders and 7-segment displays from Opencockpits. At the moment I am struggling to build a joystick/cyclic stick based on a BU0836X card and Hall sensors. So far so good, I tried out the roll axis recently, connected to Black Shark, and it works like a dream (many thanks to Leo Bodnar, Ian Sissons & Mike Powell's inspiration!).
I will post some photos when I work out how to do that.
Best wishes to all.

Re: Hello from Somerset, UK.
Thanks Ian, I noticed that there were fellow builders on my doorstep (jongas, rhysb) I'll have to establish contact.
