Displays 737NG
Hello,
regarding the MIP I have a question.
In the real 737NG MIP there are 6 of 10" Displays.
How can I realize this with other TFT-Displays???
Please help.

We used three widescreen monitors, making use of a portion of the middle one for the two standby instruments as well.

Hi,
one 19" wide screen tft is just ideal for PFD + ND. So you can calculate the minimum number of screens needed now.

Hi,
thank you very much for your answers.
So let me summarize:
1x 19"wide for the captain PFD+ND
1x 19"wide for the F/O PFD+ND
1x 19"wide for the middle one inclusive the two standby instruments
But what ist with the lower one between the FMCs? I would say there is not enough space for a 19"wide.

Hi!
For the middle one you can also use a 15" because a third 19" Wide TFT will need too much space I think. I realized it so and I can display the ISIS and the compass as standby next to the Engine Page.
For the lower Eicas I use a 10,4" TFT and turned it 90 degrees. This display needs 12 volts and has a VGA connection with a resolution of 800x600. If you need closer informations you can write me a message. I'm sure I have more of these displays in stock.

Yeah its two 19" widescreen monitors and a 15" for the upper DU and a 10"ish monitor for the lower DU.

Hi,
thank you very much for you help.
But I think to get the 10" monitor is like climbing the mount everest.
Have anybody adresses for purchasing the 10" oder 10,4" monitors with VGA or DVI Input?

I can't speak for the seller, as I don't know him/her, but:

Hi,
I calculate the active area of the necessary display (Lower DU for example) with following results:
TFT needed:
Span: 10,0"
Width-to-height ratio: 1:1,12
Width active area: 16,92cm or 6.66"
height active area:18,95cm or 7.46"
So if I put in a 10,4" TFT I will have the problem that the Width is only 15,9cm or 6.25".
That means I miss 1cm of the natural frame.
Do you know this problem??
Greetings
Wolfgang

you are forgetting that none of the 737 displays are used to their total width/height. There is a border on the left and right sides to prevent parallax. Not too much. but it takes some of the active viewing area.
Especially if you look at pictures of the lower eicas you see that the actual display area is much smaller than the display width.
