In the UK we have no idea of how devestating any type of forest fire can be and can only imagine the consequential longterm pain and suffering that follows on from such an event. Charities here are getting themselves organised collecting and figuring out what best resources they can quickly dispatch. Most families here have a relative somewhere in Australia.
Everybody here expresses their deepest sympathy to all those who are enduring such daily suffering and will try and send whatever practical help they can.
Bill.

There are no words to express the despair & horror that these poor fire victims must have endured in their last moments. And now, their surviving relatives & friends have to endure their own horror at the thought of what happened to their loved ones.
WIth deepest sadness, my sincere & heartfelt condolences to all those affected by these tragic events.

I have just heard on the news that last night two more fires were deliberately lit in the areas affected.
What can you say or do to vermin like that???"Tony"
In memory of Flt Lt Tony Hill who, on 5 December 1941, at the request of Doctor R V Jones, successfully photographed a small "Würzburg radar" at Bruneval on the French coast. This from a height of only 200 ft, at high speed, under fire and from a camera mounted obliquely behind the cockpit.
