You guys missed a good flight. It was foggy at DEN and raining at SLC. Cloud base at SLC was 7500-8000, when you came out of the clouds you had the mountains and the runway dead ahead. Thanks John for organizing this

I too would like to thank John for this flight. He did an awesome job! We will be setting up for a weekly flight from now on. Do you guys have a night preference? I will try hard to do as good a job as John did... Going to be tough!

I had fun on this flight.
I'm putting together a sight-seeing tour for Hawaii. You can fly tubes but I will be reccomending certain aircraft for best results.

Although I joined late (tried to be at SLC to greet the incoming pilots but didn't even make that on time) it was still nice to 'see' and hear all the guys there. Hopefully we'll have more pilots next time and the issues with aircraft models will also be solved so that we don't see 738s hovering overhead

Thanks to everyone for joining!!!!!! Pretty good turnout for the first of these flights.
Personally, I think the bad weather actually made this a really great flight. I know that in my sim with ActiveSky running.... the cloudscapes were awesome.
The weather in Denver was REALLY socked in; ground fog for taxiing and then a really thick layer of overcast on the climbout.
And then breaking out on top... and later plunging back into and through the soup again on descent into SLC was really a lot of fun.
Everyone seemed to put it on the runway OK despite the somewhat low visibility and the tricky crosswind.
Good job folks.
On to the the next one.
best,
..................john
PS: You are welcome.

Definitely a big thank you to John for putting in all that time to organize this event and get the information to us and of course to all those who joined.
We all seemed to be discovering the ins and outs of direct-connect multiplayer play (I usually fly in IVAO with no paint/model problems due to the MTL library) but I'm sure as we get more people coming to these events and the finer points of the connections solved it will be a great opportunity to meet other users and interact apart from the forum for a change.
