My first cockpit
Hello everybody,
This is my first post in this forum and i said HELLO to everybody.
I'm trying to make my own cockpit and i have some doubts.
I only want to move a motor, that there is under my chair, if my plane turn right or left.
To do that i have bought a motor of 5A with a tarjet to control the motor. Now i'm trying to import some variables from fsx.
What you recomended me, use the interface of simconnect, or buy a IOCard of opencockpits and make a program with SIOC?
Particulary, i prefer to use the interface with simconnect that is made by MS, but i have a problem, i only know MS Visual FoxPro to connect with simconnect and the examples are in visual c#. Could you help me?
Thanks a lot.

Try Visual Basic. Easy to learn.

Hi,
SimConnect is only a tool to get state info from your Simulator (or send controls to it), just like you can do with FSUIPC.
You still need hard- and software to control your motor. For the latter I recommend Opencockpits cards and SIOC. In Opencockpits you can use FSUIPC to get info from the sim or you can use the IOCP protocol.
Regards,
Nico

well, then you have to find another interface system to control your motor... (a system that is still also able to communicate in FSUIPC or Simconnect)
your requirements are probably not within the range of most home cockpit application programs...
