Speculatively put my 737NG on eBay!
Hi all,
I am unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective!), coming round to the fact that I am probably going to recommence my cockpit build, and build an A320.
My current build has been great experience and all part of the process.... but as has been reflected recently, if you're going to build an aircraft cockpit, you have to choose an aircraft that you have passion about.
Anyhoo ....... the long and short of it is that I have put my 737NG cockpit up for sale on eBay.
- Engravity Captains Panel Kit.
- Engravity Centre Panel Kit.
- CP Flight Hardware MCP.
- CP Flight Hardware EFIS controller.
- Engravity Hardware CDU.
- Many Boeing knobs and switches on the panel.
This is a 'ready to use' major cockpit component. If there is enough interest, I may sell the parts seperately. As a full cockpit, sale would be in the UK only as I cannot ship the unit. Parts (MCP, EFIS, CDU) could be despatched internationally.

Question for ya: Have you ever considered building the entire panel instead of just half of it? Even if you dont ever anticipate having anyone over to fly in the copilot seat, is it that much more expensive to go ahead and build the who panel in comparison to just half?
I'd say that now you are moving forward to sell the NG, might it be a possibility?

Dude, your selling it for 1,900 and your shipping is 9,999
Is that an error?________________________

Hi Eric - Yep, definately full panel for the A320
Almost certainly FDS.
Hey Trev - It says in the body of the text of the ad that there is no delivery available but Ebay.co.uk is quirky and it's a known fault that on some ads you can't remove the postage....... so one way of avoiding people buying then saying "hey I want it delivered!!", is to quote a 'daft as a brush' charge for postage.

What software have you considered for the bus?

Anders,
Yesterday I purchased the AST Server (+Dongle), and PFD/ND Airbus software from Air Sim Technologoies.
Check it out at: www.airsimtech.com
Overall suite prices are similar to PM but you can buy much easier in modules, so the above is basically the software core (plus hardware dongle), and the PFD/ ND.
Next I will buy the FMGC (FCU & MCDU), and the month after that I'll buy the SD/OH stuff.....
But I may order my FDS MIP first as I understand lead times can be long ... so I may be best to get that ordered next.
I already have my sidestick! ...a Logitech Joystick...although I will be buying the Airbus stick from www.routech.ro and adapting the logitech with it.
