Sigh....
I wonder really what it could be used for though at our budgets. I think that in all likely hood it's not usuable by the home builder unless you can rear project onto it but then you'd still have to have some super duper software to correct the image. Personally, I think that Nic has almost perfected the home sim visual system with the lowest budget and best picture at this point.

... even so!... we pulled our visuals to bits yesterday! We had a real-life 737 captain come fly the sim and he gave us some excellent feedback. It was obvious that the perspective error that remains though is still too much. We've learned to work with it but some new users struggle with it.
SO... the way to fix it is to increase the width of the centre screen/view. From 1.7m to about 3.0m ... this will place the eyepoint perfectly. How you do that in a garage 3.5m wide AND still have wraparound side views in proportion is the key ... but after another day of experimentation we're getting close.
