Embraer Phenom 300 build
Hey,
ive been working on this design for a year now. I built a one seat version first and then expanded the scope to a full scale two seat version. There isn’t much info on other people who’ve built this cockpit so for dimensions I used reference pictures and made the best guess I could. I may be completely off in my dimensions. I do have a feeling that the g1000s are 15 inch screens. This design has 12 inch ones cause I had those already. I started working on the mip and pedestal and will post build pictures. While I’ve been building I’m running across some measurements which are a little off and I’m making those modifications as I go. The seats I used were old race car seats and using those forced me to have a wider mip, or maybe I feel it’s wider than the real thing but I’m not sure. I did notice that the seat height could b lower 2 inches which means you could drop them and the mip 2 inches lower.
Im very sceptical about the outer shell too but I guess I’ll find out how that works out when I reach that stage. Long way to go till then. Sharing the design in case there are other phenom fans out there. If anyone has any questions do feel free to askI’ll help out as much as I can.
Regards
ali

Re: Embraer Phenom 300 build
Hey,
Had an update on the Pedestal. Finished the build according to plan. Had to trim the bracing under the Throttle panel to allow the TQ to fit through. the opening in the sides and front of the pedestal will be covered by panels and closed. I kept those in the design to make it easy to get inside and work on the throttle or parking break if required. I've attached the design file for the engine panel as well. The design file has 2 layers. the top one has the engraving on it and will be 3mm white acrylic. the bottom one will be 3mm clear acrylic and has cut outs to let the components attach to the top panel.
Regards,
Ali

Re: Embraer Phenom 300 build
i spent a few days making the MIP and the glareshield. MIP went according to design just rant into a slight monitor panel angle issue. one of the support wasn't at the right angle and was warping the main panel which meant the monitors wouldn't lat flat on the surface. easy fix though. The glareshield I had to modify because I used 3/4" plywood instead of the half inch as per the design. Mainly because I had 3/4" with me and didn't have the half inch one. I also did some paint shade tests to see which shade to use. Still waiting for two cans but at the moment i'm happy with matt dark grey for the panels. For the base I'm going to try metallic charcoal and the pedestal will be metallic silver.I tried a peel of rubber spray on the knobs and that really gives a good feel. The throttle and engine panels should be ready by next week. will finish final paint after they come and i can test the color combination on some test panels.

Rubber coated knobs. Black one is just the rubber. Grey one I tried painting over the rubber. Liking how they turned out. They feel pretty good too.

Re: Embraer Phenom 300 build
I made the Engine Board and the Autopilot connector board.
Basically, I'm using a 128 button HID programmed in an arduino. Found the code for it online. It needs the buttons to be connected in a matrix and to make those connections I'm using boards.
Next up is the main Autopilot board. Then I'll get to painting the MIP and the Pedestal.
Is nobody else making a Phenom Cockpit? Would love to hear if someone is

Ali

Progress on the Glareshield and Autopilot Circuits.
Wiring ended up really messy even though I tried to make it neat
