Clarification of use of two joysticks sought
I have two joysticks in the cockpit but until recently only used one side while I was sorting out the miriad of little problems in system changeover. I have detected one sensitivity in that if operating the press-to-transmit moves the stick slightly the autopilot disengages, annoying but not big issue, perhaps need stronger springs.
However new puzzle occurred when I was visited by a second pilot. I set up the second stick but on takeoff we got the green lights flashing and "dual input" shouting at us. Worst effect was that the aircraft was then totally uncontrollable from either side and we crashed.
i seem to remember that on the real aircraft if both sticks are operated simultaneously the output is the logarithmic sum of both sticks so if we had not selected stick priority or if the null zones are too tight we still should not have crashed.
Has anyone any experience to share on this topic?

Most likely the second sidestick has not been setup or configured correctly, or the threshold is too low.
You shouldn't be getting the dual input warning with only one side stick in control.Soarbywire - Airbus Flight Simulation and Engineering | Jeehell FMGS - Free professional A320 avionics software for the cockpit enthusiast.

Take your points and have increased the null zones. I still do not understand why the aircraft was totally uncontrollable after a dual input event.

If you ever run into that uncontrollable situation again, pause the sim (to save you from crashing) and restart A320FBW.exe. It will be interesting to see if that would solve it.

I'll run a test and report back.
