Re: A320 FMGS B46
guys u can hardly believe it but i DON'T use topcat and i don't have ANY problem of oscillations! and i fly well above FL100
as u can see ALL the guys having oscillations are using TOPCAT...doesn't that sound strange to your ears?
regards

Re: A320 FMGS B46
Hello!! Thanx again for this great simulator!!
Just flying to an event from LGTS to URSS and we had to restart the software to the FO side (PFD,ND)
After the restart we dont have the green flight line path.
Also after entering a DIRECT TO, although the plane turn direct correctly, in the CPT ND we see the old green line path (nothing changed after the direct to).
Software is in the exceptions of virus and open from firewall. Also we had copied the files (NAVADATA) from the main pc to the other two.
Thanx,
Mike

Re: A320 FMGS B46
Some releases ago we had also the problem with the up and down of the Nose at cruising altitude. Somebody corrected the model configuration of the flight model and this behaviour was gone. That is why I'm not sure if this behaviour is caused by TOPCAT or by the new model cofiguration.
But you're right. I should test this without TOPCAT. Didn't had the time today to test it. Will do this soon.

Re: A320 FMGS B46
And where do you get all the data (Fuel, Payload, ZFW /MAC) from? Or do you use TOPCAT only to calculate these data but without using TOPCAT's "Export to Flight Sim" option?
René
I have just started a flight without using Topcat's export option. Exactly the same osciallation. Again, why should Topcat's data cause these oscillations only above FL 9900 and not below this FL? Not very reasonable, is it?

Re: A320 FMGS B46
renč please don't take it personally
i load the plane using p3d fuel&payload...
i'm aware there were oscillations in the past corrected on the flight model side....what i'm telling now is: why i don't get ANY oscillation??? and i fly A LOT...what's different in my setup? we're all using the same flight model...
i don't use topcat;
i have turbulences set VERY LOW in as2016 or disabled

Re: A320 FMGS B46
Not at all
It was a question I am really interested in! Probably I was not precise enough. What I actually wanted to know is how you load the aircraft. In other words how do you get the optimum balance between the different stations and tanks?
I still use FSX. Maybe the p3d fuel&payload item is more self-explaining. In this case my question really is ambiguous.

Re: A320 FMGS B46
hi renč!
no p3d fuel & load is not different from fsx!
i used topcat until v45....then i stopped using it by myself before v46 because i read the model was reworked and didn't want to have problems...also because i changed my laptop (where topcat was) and now having a macbook i have to take some time to install windows there.
right now i just change fuel according to the flight i'm going to perform...i never change payload: this may sound odd to someone but using my cockpit for training i really don't care about this.
all the best

Re: A320 FMGS B46
Hi Fil,
thanks for clarification!
I think I've found a workaround / solution to avoid oscillation while using Topcat's data and export item. But let me do some more test flights to check the new configurations.

Re: A320 FMGS B46
I just made a test flight EDDM-LQSA on FL370 with Mach.81 (just below the "red line"). I used TOPCAT for loading and added 4535,92 kg (=10000lbs) to both adjustment compartments in P3D, which TOPCAT has set to 0. With real weather from FSGRW I had very small ups and downs in the first enroute phase of the flight, which can be caused by turbulences. Trim (managed mode) at 0.7 up in climb to 0.4 on cruise altitude. After some minutes these ups and downs disappeared. The airplane feels very stable with this setup, vertical management works perfect.
For me TOPCAT ist very useful in combination with PFPX, so I can transfer the planned load and fuel to the airplane.
I will also do more check flights. I´m very interested in your solution, René.Regards Rainer
Hi...realize this has been a long time, but I'm heading down the path of building my own 777...
