Have you wired up both the captain and FO autoland side?

I noticed with my setup, when only the FO side was wired up, it would blink on FMGS startup.

After I wired up the captain autoland side all was good.

    Re: A320 FMGS B42/43

    Hi,

is it OK that after pressing speed, heading and altitude knob on FCU, the heading number remains there? I would expect to see 3 dashes as it does for speed and V/S:

I have entered a complete route without discontinuities and filled out all necessary pages on MCDU.

    Thanks

Depends on where and when you pushed the HDG selector. Pressing means arming, it engages only if in the right circumstance, and it then goes to dashes.

    Hi
This happens to me too after 42.1 or 43 update. I think during "before start checklist", it should be dashed.

I just checked again. The dashes come up during T/O roll when thrust levers are moved into FLEX or TO/GA. I did not notice these dashes coming up then, and - as you said - it must have changed recently.

    Thanks
