FMGS_Backup.FLT ?? What is it?
Hey Guys,
yesterday I was flying with my EFB from Aivlasoft, when I recognized an errormessage saying something like "current flightplan was overwritten by FMGS_Backup" ...
Now I saw that in my FSX Flightplan folder there are three files called
FMGS_Backup.FLT
FMGS_Backup.FSSAVE
FMGS_Backup.WX
Do you know what these files are for? What is the FMGS doing at this stage?
Thanks
Stephan

Re: FMGS_Backup.FLT ?? What is it?
Hi
These files are the backup files for when the FMGS server crashes: after starting the FMGS server manually again, it will load at that stage. Backup is done every 5 minutes or so. This feature has been around for some time now...

JL

Re: FMGS_Backup.FLT ?? What is it?
Hi JL,
Would it be possible to load these backup files (or any backup, "situation" files) from an option in the menu?
It would be fantastic if we could save the state of the aircraft, and load it again (saving the position of the aircraft, switches (on/off), time of the sim, MCDU state, throttle positions, FCU options, etc) -- it would be extremely helpful in testing.
Thank you,
