Re: A320 FMGS B31
Hello JH
Have a question
I fly the Airbus A 320, and have a Home Cockpit am very satisfied with the software and everything works great.
I have installed a chronometer, the support of JH?
It's from the company Cockpitsonic but since I can not get a correct answer, the power is properly connected, now I know it is not the control of JH or directly from FSX, and I have the Gear Lever of Ccockpitsonic and eHID driver mounted and working, only the chronometer rotates only once the needle when I turn on the PC, but the screen remains dark!

Re: A320 FMGS B31
Hi Rigo,
Not all hardware from cockpitsonic is supported yet. I had the modules missing every time someone asks for them.
I will have a look at the chronometer to see how it works, I'll keep you posted (via PM proabably).
Regards,
JL

Hi Jeehell,
please inform me, too, whenever the chronometer of Cockpitsonic will work with your software, as I own the MIP and its hardware of Cockpitsonic, too.
thanks a lot
best regards

Hi Rigo,
Not sure waht your problem is? You mean the "upper" OVHD panel with the fire shutoff buttons? It's not hiden in any way?

Re: A320 FMGS B31
Hello,
- I've installed B31.5 on a laptop, to test it out first with only keyboard and mouse, as indicated in the Quick Start and Guide Manuals
- I'm running FS9 on a Windows 7 Pro (86 bit), and running a unregistered version of FSUIPC (though I have the key for the registered version)
- I've disabled Microsoft Security Essentials
- I'm not able to configure any joystick as I don't have any just now
Here is the procedure and issue I encounter:
- I run FS9, load up the plane, and then fire up the FMGS through the starter.
- Following procedures, I turn on batteries, etc, and get the APU on and 'AVAIL' as well. The ND and PFD turn slightly red, probably as the IRS is still aligning. I have the impression that FMGS and FS9 'speak to each other' - e.g. if I click on strobe light in the overhead, it changes in FS9. However, I can't get the ND/PFD to display normally. The MCDU and FCU are also pitch black.
- Note that when I click on any instrument (overhead, etc), the status reads "not connected to FMGS server"
- In fact, if I go to FMGS server folder and lanch FSUIPC connect, nothing seems to happen. Under the WideFMGS folder, I launch the application, and get the error message attached "Windows Socket error: Only the usage of each socket address is normally permitted on API 'bind"
- One last thing. If I launch the configuration app, I keep selecting "this computer is running FS9/FSX", but everytime I open it again, this option is de-selected. I've tried the option of clicking (or not) 'default values' - this doesn't seem to help.
Anyone knows what might be the issue?
Many thanks,
-

Re: A320 FMGS B31
When I do a WX request, which database is used? Where does the MCDU get the weather information from?
Thank you,

Re: A320 FMGS B31
Hi
@Matchouz: If you run everyting on a single computer, you do not need WideFGMS server. But by default it is launched by the starter. That's why you get the errore message, but it is not linked to your main issue.
FSUIPCconnect is launched as well by default by the starter.
Did you setup thrust levers in FMGS Config? These are needed. Only a mouse and a keyboard won't be enough, you need a joystick axis assigned to at least one THR LVR.
@Stefan: the METAR source is http://www.aviationweather.gov/adds/metars/

Re: A320 FMGS B31
JL, many thanks for the tip. Just to share my experience, I tried by simply inputting keyboard commands [e.g. ( . )] for break pedals, etc, and after firing up APU etc, I now seem to have access to the full suite - ND, MCDU, FCU, etc. All seems to work as it should. Next step now obviously involves sharing between computers and testing out with a proper Joystick.
Last thing: I read in another thread that one must register and go through alot of steps before being able to download data for the EGPWS - anybody has this data on a public dropbox link, or something similar to share?
Thanks
