New Computer for FSX
Hi All,
This might be a repeated post, if so my apologies.
I currently use FS9 under Windows XP and use the PMDG 737NG and Ifly 737 NG. I want to upgrade/build a new computer for FSX which will use either PMDG NGX or Ifly 737 COckpit Builders Edition. This new system will be specifcally for FSX only and will look something like this:
40" TV - forward view
19" LCD - PFD & ND
19" LCD - Upper EICAS and Standby gauges
VGA connection for CDU
14" - LCD for Lower EICAS
21" LCD for Overhead and general use.
I see the new computer running 3 graphics cards for the outside view and 4 monitors and my old system running one card for the Overhead and general use. I will be building this around the Jetmax system from FDS. My current system is run by an E8500 Duo Core processor and will manage all the addons such as Active Sky, REX, FS Build etc.
AT this time I have in mind to use an Intel i7 2600 for the new system. The rest is up for grabs/advice/ideas - GPU's, HD's, PSU's, Cooling, Mem, Mobo etc.
Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am not looking for the ultimate rig, but one that will do the job with sliders maxed.
Thanks
Rob

That PC running 3 graphics cards is not going to give great results with FSX. Having you considered the Matrox TH2G instead?
Hi...realize this has been a long time, but I'm heading down the path of building my own 777...
