ACARS Printer
Is somebody aware of a company selling an ACARS printer like the ones used in a 737?
I donīt mean a non-functioning mockup panel, I mean an actual printer that can be integrated in a network or via printer cable and that looks like the real ones
Chris
(I know, there are two types of printers being used in 737s, one is for text only, the other - larger - one is capable to print graphics too.
The first one fits into one pedestal row, the other one takes places of two pedestal panel rows.)

Re: ACARS Printer
Forgive the newbie butting in, but have you thought of a cheaper alternative like using a receipt printer from a shop?? Surely there is a way to integrate this and have it working?

Take a look at the small printers made by this company...

Speak to Phil at simvionics. I think he was planning on making an ACARS panel.
Let us know how you get on. It's on my to do list, but haven't got round to it yet!

Re: ACARS Printer
What about getting one off a plane (perhaps Nick at AHPS might have one?) and reverse engineering? Surely it would be more cost effective that way?

Re: ACARS Printer
Thanks to all for the input.
Efe, especially this last post made me wonder, if I could do that kind of job, hehe.
Well, I will probably go for this:

and try to put a nice Boeing-gray panel around it.
