    Hi From the DC Metro area

    Mike here from the DC area.... 34, married, twins on the way, holder of a USCG OUPV Captain's License on the water and an also an IT guy by day. I'm new to the site and new to the flight sim world. Always had an interest in flying but never really did much with my interest. I just downloaded Microsoft flight sim 11 and am about to pull the trigger on a Saitek bundle to get me started... Hope to get some valuable info from the folks around here. Hopefully what I'm able to learn and gain in the sim world will help me when I finally decide to go for my private pilot's cert.

    PS--Are you sure you have flight sim 11? FSX is pretty much the latest release from MS, unless something drastic has happened.

    The X in fsx stands for 10, unless I am way off base.

    The previous flightsim was FS9, so I presume FSX is number 10.
