Hello guys
Hello friends of cockpit building,
my name is Robert and I want to introduce myself here.
I found this forum in my "favourites" toolbar, maybe I saved the link as I searched for informations around my 737 projects.
Since 2003 I am a cockpitbuilder, started with FSBUS and AGT panels to build up my own 737 cockpit. First I just wanted to create some advanced hardware for my desktop, I am flying since my 13th Birthday on Flightsimulator.
My cockpit:
I continued working and build up connections to several cockpit-building-part-sellers and start working for their projects. 2007 I started to work as a professional cockpit builder/technical engeneed of EVS-Flighttraining (www.evs-flighttraining.de) with their 737 Simulator.
Cockpit of EVS-Flighttraining:
2008 I finished my first single-seat 737 simulator for a customer, which I build fully alone without the coordination of one of the big established part-sellers.
Single Seat Trainer:
I am going to finish my A-level next year and want to start studying aerospace technologys at the technical university Berlin. Maybe specialisation "flight simulation".
After I finished academic studies a career as pilot with further duties (engineed, instructor, examiner) is planned.
regards,
Robert from Berlin / Germany.

Re: Hello guys
Hi,
sorry for the delay but anyhow my answer hasn't been published yet.
Which MIP do you mean? The one of my private cockpit is totally home-made. Here are some pictures:
This was one of my first MIP's I've build as 14 years aged guy. After I got some impressions also by the MIP made from a professional vendor like at the pictures you see on the initial post of this topic, my "skills" increased (I guess so...). This is a picture of a MIP I build with 18 years for a Boeing 737 Single Seat Simulator:
With build I have to clarify that the panels and instruments are made by professional vendors, I build the rack and the glareshield (and so on) and assembled all. Unfortunately I have no milling mashine, flow jet or laser which allows me to produce panels in such a professional way as you can buy them nowadays in many shops all over the world. When I started homecockpit-building in 2003 there were only a few shops offering plexiglass panels which were engraved on the rear sides grey acrylic layer. And now we have shops which offer panels in such a excellent quality that even experts can not see the difference between original and replica... (Just the engraved S/Ns are missing).
best regards from currently sunny and warm Berlin/Germany
Robert
