Commercial Sim, wow!!!
Hi all,
Just had to share this with you, my wife bought me an hour in a CAE 747 full motion sim in Bournemouth (European).
I am still smiling!!!.....LOL. Not a bad landing for a GA flyer!!
Hmmm might have to build me a bit of big tin???
See video link below
Cheers
Steve

Nice one Steve,
Glad you enjoyed the experience, you looked a pro!
A bit different from GA, and I am sure you learnt from it!
Kind Regards.

Re: Commercial Sim, wow!!!
Very nice, Steve! I'm thinking about doing some time in BA's 737 or 777 sims at Gatwick for my birthday later this year. Not cheap, but it's got to be worth it
A question - were the various artifacts between the sections of the outside visuals, which appear on the video as black gaps, visible from your position at all, or was it an entirely seamless wrap-around display? Looks like the sim uses a CRT + collimated mirror design for the view. I guess it's an artifact of the focus-at-infinity process?
Can't wait to do this now... got my annual paid out bonus this month so I can afford to book an hour (or maybe two).
