USBLCD Manual
Hi everyone,
I'm having a bit of trouble decoding the USBLCD Manual. It is very confusing in places and not everything is well explained.
For example, the potentiometers that need to be connected to the card. I am right i nsaying that a 10K and 100K Ohm Pots are needed? The 100K being connected to pins 15&16 for Backlighting adjustment, and 10K Pot being connected to Vee and 5V for adjustable contrast/power?
Are these pots supplied? Or do they need to be bought?
thanks,
Jack

Re: USBLCD Manual
Jack,
These need to be bought as they are directly connected to the LCD module ie not part of the kit.
Les
P.S Pots needed are 10k and 100 ohm not 100k

Re: USBLCD Manual
Hiya Les,
Are you sure? The manual says otherwise.

Re: USBLCD Manual
Hi Jack,
Yes im correct, o/c d/load section manual states 100 ohm, i think the one you are looking at comes from the shop and is a mistake.
Other projects using the same module also call for a 100 ohm pot. You can try a 100k pot, it wont harm anything but i think you will find you will have
everything happening right at the very end of the pot.
